    “Monterosso ist zweigeteilt: neuer und alter Dorfteil. Bei der Anfahrt in der Höhe der Kuppe ist eine Verzweigung nach Monterosso, links geht es in den alten Dorfteil (Parkhaus), der sehr hübsch ist; rechts führt es in den neuen Dorfteil mit Bahnhof und gebührenpflichtigem PP. Einkaufen im alten Teil ist lohnenswerter. Die 2 Dorfteile sind durch einen Tunnel (zu Fuss) miteinander verbunden.
    Auch wir hatten während unserem Aufenthalt Probleme mit der Wasserversorgung, da offensichtlich bei starken Gewittern Leitungsrohre auseinandergerissen werden. Der Schaden wurde aber rasch behoben.”

    “Das unten am Meer gelegene Monterosso hat einen klitzekleinen Bade-Strand. Manche der küstennahen Wege zu den Nachbarorten waren leider wegen Erdrutsch gesperrt und man musste weiter nach oben in die Berge ausweichen. Ein Kleinod ist Rosette Kirche. Bars und Cafés gibt es genügend. Bequem geht es schnell per Bahn in die anderen Cinque Terre-Orte.”
