Ground-floor holiday house with a garden and pool

The holiday house at the green heart of the Chiana Valley in Cortona is an oasis of tranquillity and relaxation, ideal for your holiday in touch with nature.

It is a typical country house. It has two comfortable rooms and can accommodate up to four people. The furniture is rustic and simple and reflect the authenticity of an old, Tuscan farmhouse. The small, cosy farmhouse was extensively restored, renovated and converted in the period from December 2008 to May 2011. Therefore it is completely refurbished and has new furniture, appliances and everything you need during your stay. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed (180 x 200cm), the other with two single beds (90 x 200cm), as well as a living room with an open kitchen, and two bathrooms. The accommodation has high-speed, wireless Internet access (7MB free), a Gaggia Espresso machine, scales for people and baggage. All the rooms are fitted with air conditioning and heating. The kitchen is fully equipped, with four rings, an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster.

The veranda is ideal for enjoying a sumptuous and delicious breakfast, or to immerse yourself in a good book. In the garden there is a beautiful swimming pool with a sun terrace, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape and the town of Cortona. The pool is open from April to October. The water temperature varies from 19° C. to 28° C. The outdoor area has new wicker garden furniture (2014), a barbecue and a solar-heated outdoor shower by the pool. The garden is dominated by oak and black haw trees that are typical of the region. Rosemary, lavender, sage and mint exude their natural fragrance. There is a wooden carport for up to four cars.

Small pets are allowed on request. As the accommodation is all at ground level, it is also suitable for guests with restricted mobility. The bedlinen is changed on Saturday morning and the interior and the outdoor area of the house are cleaned. Guests are kindly requested to leave the house in the condition they found it in, ready to welcome new guests, and to report any damages immediately. Please treat the house and its inventory with care and respect. Two adult bicycles and two child bicycles are available for use free of charge. You can find a washing machine and an iron in the laundry room.

The country house lies at the heart of the true Tuscany, in an area rich in history, sights and aromas – ideal for a holiday as a family, couple, or group of friends. It is an excellent starting point for countless trips to the villages, castles, abbeys, monasteries etc. in the surroundings. Nearby there are Arezzo, Lago Trasimeno, Perugia, Assisi, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Siena and Florence. It is also possible to engage in sports such as riding, tennis, golf and so on, just a couple of kilometres away. And when the day is coming to a close, there is nothing better than to enjoy the delicacies of Tuscan cuisine in the local restaurants. If you would like to cook, there are shops about 500 metres away.
