The Mas de l'Ecluse is ideally situated on the banks of the Canal du Midi, one of the region's jewels and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Surrounded by vineyards and unspoilt countryside, you can enjoy beautiful walks or cycle rides to the gates of Carcassonne, along Riquet's masterpiece! The famous medieval town of Carcassonne is also just a 15-minute drive from the gîte. From the gîte, you can explore the cultural and gastronomic treasures of the Aude department, including the Cathar castles of Saissac and Lastours, the book village of Montolieu and the abbeys of Saint-Papoul and Saint-Hilaire. On site, you will enjoy a completely private environment, a covered terrace with garden furniture for your long evenings, a terrace in front of the door with a private swimming pool (9 x 3.50 m, depth 1.50 m, ecological salt treatment, secured by an immersed roller shutter). Laid-out petanque court, sun loungers and garden sofa, barbecue-plancha area. The winegrower owners will be delighted to show you around the countryside and vineyards, with the option of tasting local wines. Relaxation and well-being massage on request. Bicycles can be hired from a service provider (secure bicycle garage). On-site electric vehicle recharging service (private 7.3 KW recharging point) in addition to rental price.

The gîte comprises, on the ground floor: a living room/kitchen opening onto the terraces and swimming pool. Separate WC. First floor: 2 bedrooms (1 x 160cm bed and 2 x 90cm beds) each with en-suite shower room, separate WC on landing. The second floor comprises 2 bedrooms (1 x 160cm bed and 2 x 90cm beds), each with en-suite shower room (only 1 is available for rent), separate WC on the landing. Equipped with reversible air conditioning, ideal for summer and winter comfort. All utilities included, bed linen and towels provided, cleaning included (daily or other cleaning services available on request during your stay, in addition to the rental price).
