Built in 1786, Chesa Michel is a historic Engadine house with six holiday apartments and two studios. Chesa Michel is a listed historical cultural monument and is located in the heart of the old, beautiful village centre of Bever.

The quaint 2.5 room rooftop maisonette Morteratsch with a living space of 66 m2 - for a maximum of 4 people – is refurbished in the traditional style and partially appointed with antique furniture. It is located on the second floor, left-hand side. The space allocation includes an open-plan kitchen with a cozy living/dining area with a Swedish stove. The bathroom is efficiently equipped a bathtub and shower head. Stairs lead to an open loft under the roof where a spacious sleeping area is located with four beds and an additional bathroom with shower/WC.

All rooms are decorated with historic photographs, some partially in color, others in black and white - all with reference to Bever and the Upper Engadine Region. Most photographs date back to the 1900s.

Further advantages of this apartment are: parquet floor with underfloor heating and radiators as well as a nicely appointed kitchen with a large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Additionally, free access to WLAN, ski room, washing machine and tumble dryer to be shared as well as additional storage room in the basement.

Multiple 1-3 room apartments available in the building: Unit numbers 870091 / 870096 / 870097 / 870098 / 870100 / 870101 / 870102. This apartment can be directly connected to the studio Grisch.

Underground garage with 5 parking spaces (not suitable for SUVs with ski-box). There is another parking space in an underground garage nearby (suitable for SUVs with roof box). There are two parking spaces in front of the house and more outside by the train station. Dogs are welcome. We're a non-smoking house.

You can reach Pontresina and St. Moritz, as well as the lake by the same name in 10 minutes (10k). Celerina connects you to the skiing region Corviglia/Piz Nair and is only seven kilometers away. The bus stop and the supermarket are located approx. 150 meters away while the station is approx. 400 meters away from Chesa Michel. The Engadine region is easily accessible by bus and train. Thus it is well worth taking a break from using your car as well during your most pleasant days of the year!

Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Three flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family-friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths.     “Positiv: Hunde und Kinder sind erlaubt. Die Wohnung war gemütlich. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Negativ: Zum Parkieren ist wenig Platz, wenn mehrere Autos da sind oder das Auto gross ist. Umgebung: Restaurant - Es gibt den Volg als Dorfladen. Empfehlung: Families, couples - Auch für Senioren geeignet, die gut zu Fuss sind. Man muss viele Treppen steigen können.”

    “Positiv: Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und zudem praktisch eingerichtet. Nah beim Bahnhof und bei Einkaufsmöglichkeiten! Negativ: Wir haben erfahren, dass die Bergbahnen und die Benützung des ÖV bei Ferienwohnungen ab einem Preis ab 1100.- inklusive sind. Diese Wohnung kostet 1050.- pro Woche, es wäre schön, wenn von diesem Angebot ebenfalls profitiert werden könnte. Restaurant: Bever Lodge - Neues Restaurant beim Bahnhof mit Spzialitäten und Allerweltsessen”

    “Die gute Lage hebt die relativ geringe nutzbare Raumhöhe wieder auf. Finde den Preis für diese Wohnung zu hoch Positiv: Zweckmässige Einrichtung Negativ: Relativ dunkel, wenig Fenster, sehr tiefe Raumhöhe”

    “Die Küchenausstattung ist etwas knapp - keine (tiefen) Gratinformen - kein Kuchenblech, keine Schere etc.- Geschirr genügend.
    Die Lage ist für uns optimal - nahe kleinem Volg, nahe ÖV, nahe Hundespaziergang und Bever ist auch sonst gut gelegen.

    das Haus ist von aussen wunderschön, innen gut ausgestattet. Die WG Morteratsch ist zwar durch die Dachschräge an gewissen Orten etwas tief, aber sehr gemütlich. Und die Galerie bietet guten, zusätzlichen Wohnraum. Toll : 2 Badezimmer mit WC! Positiv: Die Lage ist ideal. Negativ: Die Garage ist für 5 Autos etwas klein und für heutige Autos ist es je nach Belegung schwierig zum Parken. Beste Reisezeit: Autumn - Der Herbst ist unsere Jahreszeit zum Wandern, ist bestimmt in den anderen Jahreszeiten auch sehr schön. Empfehlung: Couples - Ein ideales Ferienlogie für jüngere bzw fitte Paare - (Treppenbedingt und wegen tiefen Dach), mit genügend Platz.
    Zusätzlichen Platz für ein (jüngeres) Kind. Restaurant: Paradishütte!! - Tolle Gastgeberin, gute selbstgemachte Kuchen, schöne Aussicht. Ausflüge: Muottas Muragl - Die schönste Aussicht über die Seen”

    “Sehr schöne und Saubere Wohnung. Sie ist leider ein wenig Dunkel, nur kleinere und wenige Fenster für Tageslicht. Beleuchtung der Zimmer mit den vorhandenen Lampen ist verbesserungswürdig.
