Holiday flat in the quiet Diebachtal valley

Enjoy your well-deserved holiday at the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Middle Rhine. Our village Oberdiebach is located in a quiet and romantic side valley about 1km from the Rhine. Our holiday flat was newly furnished in 2016, which is located in the basement of our family house. It is located in the vineyards with a view of the mountains. Our village has a beautiful St Mauritius church which dates back to the 14th century. There are also some half-timbered houses dating back to 1369. You can start directly from our front door with the beautiful Rhine-Burgen hiking trail or the premium hiking trail "Schellengang". Not far from the village there is a semi-open pasture landscape with Exmoor ponies and Boer goats.

Cooker with oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Taps, toaster, elec. Knife, spices (salt, pepper, sugar, paprika), coffee machine with filter bags and coffee powder, washing-up liquid, cloths, tea towels.

Double bed wardrobe, pull-out sofa bed.

The Middle Rhine Valley was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002. It stretches from Koblenz to Bingen over a distance of approx. 70km. The Middle Rhine Valley is also famous for its many castles, palaces and ruins. Some of them can also be visited. The Middle Rhine has many steep slopes with vineyards and the Riesling wine is well known.
Excursion tips:
Bingen (15km) : St Hildegard, Park am Mäuseturm, beautiful Rhine promenade and the Mäuseturm.
Rüdesheim(17km): The Drosselgasse, the Niederwalddenkmal, a cable car
Bacharach(4km): In the picturesque old town there is a walkable town wall, the Werner Chapel, Stahleck Castle, a landing stage and a railway station.
Oberwesel (9km): Günderrodehaus, Liebfrauenkirche church, Schönburg castle, also a walkable town wall and a landing stage.
St. Goar (18km): the beautiful Rheinfels castle, from where you can take the ferry across to the Lorelyfelsen.
Rheinböllen(10km): indoor swimming pool, high wildlife park
Bad Kreuznach(30km): thermal baths, Bäderhaus, Salinenpark, Kurpark, Ebernburg, Rotenfels, Rheingrafenstein ruins.
The Rheinsteig trail is on the right-hand side. The Rheinburgenwanderweg runs along our side. There are also very beautiful cycle paths along the Rhine or on the mountain. Best with an e-bike.

    “Het appartement was ruim en schoon. Alles was aanwezig, zelfs een krukje onder de douche. Het was een rustige omgeving, behalve dat je regelmatig de kerkklok hoort. Het klopte precies met de beschrijving van het appartement.
    Het is een mooie omgeving en er was veel te zien. Wandelaars kunnen zich hier uitleven.
    Wij hebben het erg naar ons zin gehad.”
