Villa Roland in Burgundy near the vineyards Villa is a fully restored 125 m2 stone house located in the Beaune region, in the town of Chagny, 15 minutes by car and 10 minutes by train from the magnificent medieval town of Beaune.

The house is completely independent and located at the back of our property, which consists of a bourgeois house and this rental property set in 2500 m2 of wooded, enclosed grounds. Secure and quiet, the gite is surrounded by greenery (around 1000 m2 allocated to the gite), with several covered and uncovered terraces and a carport.

Villa Roland in Burgundy is entirely on one level and comprises two bedrooms of 12 m2 each, sleeping up to 5 people (1 bed of 200 by 160 in bedroom 1, 1 bed of 190 by 140 and a bed of 190 by 90 in bedroom 2), a bathroom of 9 m2 with a very large Italian shower of 3 m2, a spacious toilet room, a laundry room, a main room of 55 m2 with a sitting and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen area, a veranda of 14 m2 opening onto a terrace of 20 m2 with electric blinds. The house is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Burgundy: bed linen and towels provided, tourist information, books, games, TV, music, WIFI internet access...

Located 5 minutes' walk from Chagny town centre, the gite allows you to enjoy both the peace and quiet of the countryside and the convenience of the town (access to numerous shops, restaurants, municipal swimming pool, nearby train station). Chagny is surrounded by some of Burgundy's most prestigious vineyards: Chassagne Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, Rully, Santenay (and its casino), Givry, Mercurey, and is a small, very central town. Known for its large local Sunday market, Chagny is situated between Beaune, the region's wine-growing centre, and Chalon-sur-Saône, the birthplace of photography. This exceptional location provides easy access, by train or car, on foot or by bike, to a wide range of tourist attractions: the voie verte (200 m away), vineyards, wine cellars, châteaux, lakes, medieval villages, not forgetting Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, and Lyon, just 1? hours from the gite.

Some parts of the gite are accessible for the disabled (bathroom, WC, etc.). Small pets are accepted on request before booking. Please note that, with the heavy rainfall of the last two years, there have been more and more mosquitoes in the summer since last year.

    “Wir waren 13 Tage hier und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Vermieter Christelle und Eric sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung mit Küchen- und anderem Zubehör ist mehr als üppig. Alle Räume sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Objekt entspricht vollständig der Beschreibung. Zu kritisieren ist daran jedoch, dass nirgendwo auf die Nähe zur Bahnlinie Marseille / Paris (etwa 100 m) hingewiesenwird. Die Situation ist vorab nur durch intensive GoogleMaps-Suche zu erkennen. Die lautesten Geräusche werden von Güterzügen und Regionalbahnen, die im nahe gelegenen Bahnhof halten, erzeugt. Der TGV ist am leisesten und nach weniger als 20 Sekunden vorbei. Wir haben uns nach 2 Tagen an die Bahn gewöhnt.
    Sehr geräuschempfindliche Menschen sollten dies jedoch erfahren.
    Wir können uns gut vorstellen, einmal wieder zu kommen.”
