A house that is more than just a summer retreat: completely renovated in 2018, with no frills, the white island bungalow called Ruris claims its territory in the countryside. It almost seems as if you have the whole area to yourself, but you do drive past other rural properties on the small access road. The shopping facilities of Algaida are also only 5 kilometres away. The unspoilt, 12,000 square metre property with massive quarry stone walls and green spaces under gnarled trees offers children play opportunities with a touch of the wild (a table tennis table is available) and provides adults with a retreat for some much-needed downtime. If you're looking for a shady spot, you can also spend a lovely afternoon on the sunloungers by the somewhat hidden pool area. Pack a picnic basket with bread, olives, cheese, wine and many other specialities from the weekly market. Give the cooker and barbecue a break from time to time.

This is a Fincallorca holiday home.

When redesigning the house, the owners placed great emphasis on open, bright rooms and an uncomplicated holiday experience. Dust catchers are not necessary here, as the tiled floor throughout is quickly mopped. The living room, kitchenette (with cooker and dishwasher) and terrace form a single unit when the front door is open. A room divider provides the necessary support for the TV corner. The washing machine and tumble dryer are housed separately. Both bedrooms are also accessible from the centre of the villa, one functionally equipped with bunk beds, the other with a 1.50 m wide double bed. The shared bathroom is hidden in the background, but with its bright red and pink colours, it lets the sun rise for you every morning. You are guaranteed to start your day out in a good mood.

The drive to Llucmajor is only 9 kilometres long, but long enough to travel back in time to its attractive market square in the 1920s. Palma and Manacor are happy to enrich your trip with city beaches, promenades and cultural offerings. If you take the town's Arabic name literally and set up a base camp in Algaida for your island tours, you will always enjoy returning from the towns to the countryside between the hills and windmills. The weekly farmers' market also puts a smile on the face of the organic traveller; for wine-rich evenings in the villa, you are sure to find a suitable option in the Bodega Can Majoral and Randa also attracts visitors with its monastery and a romantic panoramic restaurant (Es Recó de Randa). Cycling enthusiasts will also get their money's worth, golfers can look forward to one of the best greens in Mallorca in Son Gual and the glass-blowing workshop and museum is an ideal destination for a rainy day.

Fits well with a group of 2, 3 or 4 people: The white, airy bungalow is located in the middle of calming greenery, just a few kilometres from Algaida and offers excellent connections to Palma, the capital's beaches and Manacor. Weekly markets and supermarkets, restaurants, a golf course as well as rewarding hikes, bike tours and excursions are in the immediate vicinity and contribute to the attractiveness of this location.
