    “Neat Mediterranean village, but insufficient buying opportunities and very expensive. We recommend La Specia for the big buying. In the future we would look after an apartment or house in La Spezia, Sestri Levante or St. Margherita and go into Cinque Terre by train. Train driving is very inexpensive and reliable in Italy.”

    “San Bernardino is very nice and quiet place to spend few days there. Roads are narrow and winding but wide enough for cars. There is a bus service from San Bernardino to Vernazza - the gem of Cinque Terre. San Bernardino is about 20 km from La Spezia and could be a good base to visit some other places.”

    “Vernazza is 1 van de prachtige cinque terre dorpjes. Leuke winkelstraatjes en achter de drukke winkelstraten prachtige pittoreske straatjes waar het dan ineens heel rustig was. Heel mooi om doorheen te lopen. Ook nu kon je voor de verkoeling een duik in de zee nemen. Er was midden in het centrum een klein stukje strand. Ook was er een plaats waar de boten aanlegden. De kinderen vonden het te gek om vanaf de kant de diepe zee in te springen.
